Líneas de investigación

El Laboratorio de Neuroimagen y Cognición estudia los mecanismos cerebrales que sustentan procesos cognitivos complejos y sus alteraciones en distintas condiciones clínicas. Combinamos técnicas de neuroimagen, principalmente resonancia magnética funcional, con métodos experimentales, neuropsicológicos y conductuales.

Toma de decisiones, procesamiento emocional y control cognitivo

Estudiamos los mecanismos cognitivos y neurales involucrados en la toma de decisiones, el procesamiento de información emocional y el control cognitivo. Dentro de esta línea investigamos especialmente cómo estos procesos se relacionan con el consumo de alcohol y otras sustancias, incluyendo factores como percepción de riesgo, craving, interocepción, control inhibitorio y diferencias individuales asociadas con patrones de consumo problemático.

Representación cerebral y mapeo funcional del lenguaje

Investigamos la organización y representación cerebral del lenguaje mediante técnicas de neuroimagen, con especial énfasis en el mapeo funcional de sus distintos componentes y subfunciones. Esta línea incluye el estudio de los correlatos neurales del procesamiento semántico, pragmático y prosódico, así como de la integración entre información lingüística, emocional y social durante la comunicación.

Neuroimagen y alteraciones cognitivas en esquizofrenia

Estudiamos las alteraciones de los mecanismos cognitivos y de las redes cerebrales asociadas con la esquizofrenia, con particular interés en la relación entre conectividad cerebral, procesamiento del lenguaje, cognición social y manifestaciones clínicas.
