Pedro is biologist and doctor of the University of Buenos Aires. He graduated from the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires and studied biology at the Faculty of Natural Science at the University of Buenos Aires. Her doctorate as a Fellow of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) at the Institute of Cell Biology and Neurosciences of the Faculty of Medicine UBA. In it he studied the biological mechanisms of The Persistence of Memory.
And with the title of doctor did a post-doctorate three years in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge in England investigating how and designating the boundaries between the memories are erased. He returned to Argentina with a charge of CONICET researcher.
He directs the Laboratory of Molecular Cognition along with Noelia Weisstaub and co-directs the Translational Neurobiology Division with Patricia Cogram. The laboratory research lines are aimed at understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of memory and forgetting. Also for years he is dedicated to the dissemination and teaching of science. He is a member of the Civil Association “Expedition Science” dedicated to promoting scientific thinking and science education with the philosophy that to learn science must be able to step into the shoes of the scientist who first saw a phenomenon “.
Almost from the start of publication, Journal writes about science in Barcelona in parodying both the communication of science and scientists themselves. He is a columnist for neuroscience television program “Scientists Argentina Industry” which is broadcast on Public TV. He wrote “100% Brain”, a book on disclosure of neurosciences.
