Dra. María Luz González Gadea has a PhD in Neurosciences from the National University of Cordoba (Argentina). She is a researcher at the Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience (INCyT), a researcher at the Laboratory of Neuroscience of the Di Tella University and a posdoctoral fellowship from the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). She has received training in the U.K (University of Cambridge). Dra. González Gadea has performed several studies in typically developing children and children with developmental disorders (autism and attentional deficit disorder), studying the brain correlates of attention, decision making, and social cognition processes, among others. She has leaded the Argentinean team of a cross-cultural project (by the University of Chicago and spanning more than 14 countries) to explore the basis of prosocial behavior (generosity, social decision making, altruism) in children. She is currently studying the development of social decisions in children and the influence of aspects related to group membership, cognitive beliefs, religion, among others. She has published more than 10 papers in high-impact international journals and has given several conferences on neuroscience and education.
