Margherita Melloni is a PhD researcher at the Laboratory of Experimental Psychology and Neuroscience of the Institute of Cognitive Neurology (INECO) and the Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience (Argentina). She holds a degree in Biology (University of Bologna, Italy) in 2007. She specialized cum laude in Neurobiology at the University of Pisa (Italy). She worked as researcher with Huntington disease in the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Diseases where she received training in in vitro and in vivo molecular technique.

Her interests and research experience are focused on the neuropsychological aspects as well as the neurophysiologic and neuroanatomical correlates of social cognition processes and language in patients with neurological disorders. She worked in several experimental projects with patients with frontotemporal disease, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease and frontal stroke. She published more than 10 articles in the field of social cognition and language in international leading journals.
