Normal language processing in children and adults
The aim of this line of research is to learn more about language processing during normal acquisition in childhood and adolescence, as well as during adulthood.
Design, adaptation and validation of language evaluation tools
Linguistic and sociocultural variables influence language assessment tools. It is for this reason that it is necessary to consider the linguistic peculiarities of the language in the different regions, as well as the differences between cultures. Language assessment tools can not be used only by adapting to the language. It is for this reason that tools are being validated that have been developed for other populations as well as elaborating own instruments.
Language processing and its interrelation with other cognitive functions in different neurological pathologies
Language is one of the higher cognitive functions that differentiate us from the rest of the animals. It allows us to communicate with the environment, transmit ideas and thoughts. For its proper functioning requires the participation of other functions such as care, memory, among others. While language can be altered after a brain injury. The objective of this line of research is to know the difficulties that appear in the processing of the language in different neurological pathologies.
