Indira García Cordero obtained her Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires in 2014. She is currently doing her PhD based on neuroimaging analysis of functional and structural patterns associated with behavioral deficits in dementia (Frontotemporal dementia and Alzheimer’s disease) and stroke patients. Her main objective is analyzed and characterized the integrative role of the insular cortex and its networks. Moreover, she is exploring how the physiopathology underneath these diseases could impact on functional connectivity and behavior. Part of her work has been published in recognized international journals.
