2024 - 16th International Symposium of the INECO Foundation: Challenges and Advances in Psychiatry

Study of the clinical features, biomarkers, genetics and social factors associated with prevalent psychiatric disorders in Latin America.

The creation of the Latin American Consortium for the study of genetic, epigenetic and social factors of the most prevalent psychiatric disorders, coordinated by doctors Brian Lawlor, Hernando SantaMaría-García and Agustín Ibañez, is an event of great importance for Mental Health in the region.

Our goal is to bring together a group of leaders to present their current research and take advantage of this opportunity to meet with researchers and clinical leaders from Latin America.

The objective is to strengthen the Latin American psychiatry consortium and discuss the plan to apply for an R01 NIH grant with the objective of studying the clinical, biomarkers, genetics and social factors associated with prevalent psychiatric disorders in Latin America.
